Removing Ingrown toenails
The toenails are ingrown when the edge of the nail grows into the skin of the toe. You may have pain, redness and swelling around the nail.
The toe most affected is the big toe, but it does not mean that this is the only one affected, any toenail can become ingrown.
Other causes may be: when toenails are trimmed too short, the edges are prone burrow into the skin; when you have thick nails, the corners are more likely to poke or tear into the toe which can cause an ingrown toenail.
The extraction involves surgery to remove a nail or part of the nail, from the toe where it has curled and grown into the skin, causing pain.
There are several risk factors such as diabetes, so you should consult an expert before trying to take care of it at home.
