Pap

The Pap test (also called Pap smear) is performed to detect changes in the cells of your cervix (lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina or birth canal). Performing this test in women helps detect if they have an infection, unhealthy abnormal cells or cervical cancer. If discovered early, the treatment of cancer of the cervix can be simpler and likely to be curable. These tests are recommended for women who are or have been sexually active, there is no age limit and no matter if you are in menopause stage, you should have a pap done at least once a year.
